Erasing a character

[Backspace] key (striking once erases one character immediately preceding the cursor)

[Shift] + [Backspace] keys (striking once erases one character immediately following the cursor)

Moving the cursor

[Upwards arrow] [Downwards arrow] [Leftwards arrow] [Rightwards arrow] keys (pressing a key moves the cursor in that direction)

Moving to the left edge/right edge of a character string
